The mention cap situation is a ticking time bomb — one viral client moment and you're locked out until next billing cycle.
Running about 12 client accounts through Mention right now on a legacy ProPlus. Works well day-to-day — junior team members can manage alerts without much training which is a big deal for us. But we've been burned twice by the mention cap situation. When a client gets unexpected press or goes viral on a small scale, the tracker just stops. You don't get a warning, you don't get overage — you just miss mentions. For reputation management clients, that's unacceptable. We're evaluating moving to Brand24 for the higher caps at the Individual tier.

I liked Mention when it tried to be an all-in-one. Not the end of the world but it does affect the value math. I'm on a legacy Pro plan so my rate is locked but if I was a new user I'd probably look at Brand24 or just go straight to Sprout if I had the budget.
